One thing I know I need to work on is being more gentle in the way I communicate. Sometimes, when something really gets under my skin or grabs my attention in the wrong way, I react in a way that can come off as dark or harsh especially to the people closest to me. It’s not always intentional, but I know it can leave an impact, and that’s something I want to be more mindful of.

Lately, I’ve been sitting with the quiet moments more no music, no phone, just the me being present. It’s strange how much we miss while trying to keep up. Maybe the real work is learning to stay still long enough to hear ourselves think.

I applied to Greenpeace once. read the job description and realized they wanted me to chain myself to a tree or block a whaling ship. respectfully backed out. turns out I’m more “send a strongly worded email” type.

I’ve got three shipments I’m still waiting on two orders from early March that won’t arrive until next month, and one I placed last week that probably won’t show up until the end of the month. Feels like the effect of Trump’s recently announced tariff announcements. Even just the mention of new tariffs is enough to slow down supply chains and create delays as companies scramble to figure out costs and logistics. I need my outfits for the summer to get here so I can try them out and if I need to return them I can within the 30 days.

I got to enjoy Awesome Con 2025 this past Friday, and it was such a great decision to skip the chaos of the Saturday and Sunday crowds. It was nice getting to meet the artists and actually have real conversations with them without feeling rushed. Overall, it was a great experience and an awesome way to kick off the weekend.
