Time, Honesty, and the Things That Really Matter
Thursday, February 6, 2025
Lately, I’ve been sitting with a thought that keeps resurfacing: some truths in life don’t reveal themselves all at once. Whether it’s love, vulnerability, or understanding the kinds of connections that truly nourish us these things take time. They unfold slowly, almost quietly, often when we’re not even looking for them.
But it’s not just time that brings clarity. It’s honesty. The kind of honesty that requires courage the kind that makes you pause and ask yourself the uncomfortable questions. Am I really being open with the people in my life? Am I protecting myself too much out of fear? Am I holding on to things or people that no longer align with who I’m becoming?
Those questions aren’t easy to face. But when we do when we choose honesty over comfort we start to see things more clearly. We begin to understand what matters most, what’s worth holding onto, and what we can let go of with peace.
I’m learning that growth isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s a quiet moment alone, a sudden realization during an ordinary conversation, or a slow shift in how you feel around certain people.
And maybe that’s the beauty of it all. Clarity doesn’t always come crashing in it arrives when you’re ready to receive it.
